We attended the Solar-to-X Portfolio Kick-Off Meeting at the EISMEA in Brussels

In November 2025, the SOLARSPOON team took part in the official kick-off meeting of the European Innovation Council’s Solar-to-X Devices portfolio, hosted at EISMEA headquarters in Brussels. Representatives from all eight funded projects gathered for the first time, creating an inspiring atmosphere of shared purpose and curiosity. The event set the stage for four years of exploration into breakthrough solar-driven technologies, with EIC Programme Managers providing valuable guidance on portfolio expectations, cross-project interaction, and the support available to help each team thrive.

For SOLARSPOON, the meeting was an energising opportunity to connect with fellow innovators tackling complementary challenges across the Solar-to-X landscape. The open discussions, practical insights, and emphasis on building a strong community confirmed the EIC’s commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration, not only within each project, but across the entire portfolio. We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to contributing actively to the collective progress over the coming years.
